The Ed Shipman Memorial Highway!
Ed Shipman was my role model, mentor, and father figure. Along with his wife, Gloria Shipman, they set me on a foundation built on faith, that change the trajectory of my life, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
In honor of Ed Shipman, founder of Happy Hill Farm, we collaborated with State Representation DeWayne Burns to draft House Bill 2835, during the 88th Legislature, to rename the 6-mile stretch of State Highway 144, in front of Happy Hill Farm, the Ed Shipman Memorial Highway. Representative Shelby Slawson added her name and support to the Bill in the House. Additionally, Senator Brian Birdwell sponsored HB 2835 when it made it to the Senate. Govenor Abbott signed OUR Bill, and so it became LAW on September 1, 2023.
Visit Granbury 2024 Goosebump Jump Charity Winner!
Visit Granbury challenged the community, civic organizations, charitable organizations, and brave individuals to help kick-off the Winter-Guest Tourism Season [January-February] by jumping into the frigid waters of Lake Granbury on Saturday, January 20th at City Beach Park at the third annual Lake Granbury Goosebump Jump event. And the forecast? 100% chance of snow! The non-profit with the most jumpers won.
We were proud to help the kids at Happy Hill Farm have a ton of fun, while earning the top spot. The donation went to help fund scholarships for kids that needed assistance. Many thanks to Tammy Dooley, our friends at Visit Granbury, and all of the Lodging partners for this gift.
What Others Say About Tim Bolton...
"I am excited to endorse Tim Bolton for the Granbury ISD School Board. Tim is a "win" for the parents, students and teachers as he will work smart and hard to listen, understand the issues and act on specific improvements. In my 30+ year experience with Tim, I have personally watched him improve every room he enters. He is a patriot who wants America and the next generation to prosper so he takes the time to invest in education and kids. He has a unique ability to absorb new data and pivot to a working solution. Tim gets things done and over the finish line. He is practical, pragmatic and incredibly resourceful. Do not elect him if you just want status quo and mediocrity. Tim is running to make education a better place for kids."
